Wind Speed and Direction Sensor

Feature

■ This airplane-shaped vane is a wind speed and wind direction sensor designed to be used with Digital Indicator with Alarm WVAT6D0-3-00 (Cat. No. 7910-50).

The indicator receives the signals from this sensor and displays instantaneous and mean values of wind speed in digital and one of 16 points of compass for wind direction on an LED panel. Alarms can be set at your will and is output as a relay contact, hazard lamp, and a buzzer. Furthermore, analog and RS-422 digital output to external devices are available on inquiry.

■ Adopted a brushless potentiometer for wind direction and an optical pulse sensor for wind speed to realize high reliability

■ Wind direction is indicated as a lamp of one of 16 cardinal directions, and wind speed (instantaneous and mean) is indicated as digital figures.

■ Three step of alarm can be set. When the measured value reaches the threshold all of the relay contact, hazard lamp, and buzzer are activated.
