Description

■ Notice

- Powdered or granular objects cannot be measured.
- Measurement may not be accurate if the compost contains a lot of highly conductive materials such as chicken manure or charcoal.
- As SK-970A has temperature compensation function, you do not need to compensate temperature against the measured value within 5 to 40°C. However, the error may enlarge if there is a temperature gap between the probe and the compost. To prevent it, insert the probe in the compost 30 seconds before the measurement.

■ How it works

SK-970A measures electrical resistance in electrodes and displays it as a moisture value. If the object contains electrically conductive materials, such as salt and metal, measured values may differ from actual moisture content. However, even when conductive material is included in the object, if the amount of such material is relatively small so that it doesn't affect to moisture value, and it is evenly distributed, the measured data will be reliable enough for comparison.
