* User's ranges: a function which users can modify the displayed value by increasing or decreasing the displayed value from the standard range in order to minimize the error compared to the value measured in complete drying method. All user's ranges are individually memorized so that you can freely modify and use each range for each different object.

■Five types with different sensors are in our lineup to meet your needs.

Note that the sensor is not replaceable.

Description

■ Note before use

- Granular or powdery objects cannot be measured.

- Automatic temperature compensation is activated as long as the temperature of the device is in 5 to 40°C. However, the measurement error will be enlarged if the temperatures of the object and SK-960A are different. Wait until the temperature difference vanishes.

- Measured values may vary depending on the pressure you give the object through the sensor. Therefore be sure to maintain the same pressure against all objects during the measurement.

- Do not forcibly press the sensor, pull or bend the cable.

■ Accuracy of measurement

SK-960A measures electrical resistance between two electrodes and displays it as a moisture value. If the object contains electrically conductive materials, such as salt and metal, measured values may differ from actual moisture content. However, even when conductive material is included in the object, if the amount of such material is relatively small so that it doesn't affect to moisture value, and it is evenly distributed, the measured data will be reliable enough for comparison.
